Petit Fourz was created especially for the quiet-natured small pet who thrives in a serene, soothing, and deeply personalized environment. As a 60-minute, one-to-one micro salon designed exclusively for dogs 20 pounds or less (and no taller than 13 inches) and for cats, every aspect of your visit is intentional, gentle, and centered on your pet’s emotional well-being.

Below is what you can expect during your first appointment at Petit Fourz.

A Calm Arrival & One-on-One Attention

When you arrive, your pet is greeted by the practiced hands of highly skilled groomers who have spent their lives perfecting this craft. Your pet is handled by the same stylist from arrival to pickup, ensuring comfort, familiarity, and trust.

At drop-off, we will also discuss the exact pickup time, so you know precisely when your pet will be ready — no waiting, no guessing, and no extended stays.

Because we specialize exclusively in small pets, the atmosphere stays quiet, predictable, and confidence-building — ideal for pets who prefer a one-on-one grooming experience.

Our All-Inclusive Grooming Experience

Every grooming visit at Petit Fourz includes the following services, thoughtfully bundled into an all inclusive experience with no up-charges:

Bathing & Skin Care

• A warm water massaging bath using premium shampoo and premium conditioner

• A complete, hand blow-dry with love

• A thorough brushing to remove dead coat and prevent tangles

Nails, Hygiene & Paws

• Nail trimming and buffing/filing (automatically included)

• Ear cleaning

• Hair removal from the ear canal, performed gently and only when needed

• Necessary trimming of the fur on the paws

• Rear & privates sanitary trim

• Hair between the eyes trimmed as needed

• Anal glands will be expressed on request if necessary, as part of our all-inclusive package

Haircuts

For dogs needing a haircut, we provide:

• A full haircut on the head, ears, tail, body, and legs

• We will discuss the haircut with you at drop-off to ensure we understand the exact look you prefer

• Reference photos encouraged

For Shedding Dogs

Shedding pets automatically receive:

• A de-shedding shampoo

• A de-shedding conditioner

• Time with the de-shedding tool to remove loose undercoat safely

About Toothbrushing

Toothbrushing is part of our all-inclusive experience. We happily provide this service for all pets; however, if we notice advanced dental disease, painful gums, or loose or compromised teeth, we may omit brushing to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. Any findings will be shared with you at pickup so you may discuss them with your veterinarian.

Why We Groom Monthly

Pets groomed every 4 weeks feel more confident, secure, and comfortable. Regular visits help them build trust, reduce anxiety, and create a predictable routine that supports emotional well-being. Monthly grooming also:

• Prevents matting

• Keeps the skin healthy and hydrated

• Maintains nails at a safe length

• Keeps hygiene areas clean

• Allows appointments to remain short, soothing, and stress-free

• Helps us identify early signs of health concerns for you to address with your veterinarian.

Why We Have a Size Restriction

Petit Fourz was designed intentionally for small dogs. This ensures:

• A calmer, quieter environment

• A consistent 60-minute express grooming model

• A controlled space where small pets feel comfortable around pets their own size

• A sustainable workplace for the seasoned groomers who have dedicated their lives to this craft

Larger dogs require significantly more physical effort, which can create unnecessary wear on the bodies of the most experienced stylists. By focusing on small dogs, we protect the comfort of the pets and the longevity of the groomers who make our salon exceptional.

Why We Don’t Demat

We do not perform painful de-matting. Mats pull tightly on the skin and can cause discomfort, irritation, and emotional stress — especially for small dogs. De-matting conflicts with our commitment to gentle, humane grooming.

Instead, we prioritize regular monthly maintenance to prevent matting altogether. If mats are present, the most compassionate approach is a shorter, fresh haircut that allows the coat to regrow evenly and comfortably.
